For our church charities, Joan and I have always had a ‘coffee Morning’ or ‘afternoon teas’ or both!

Last summer, 2016, Joan felt able to have it at her house again and, thankfully, the rain kept off so we could sit in the garden.  We raised £246.98 to be precise.  (No, I’ve no idea how we got to that figure either!)

We agreed afterwards that that was the last one we’d have at Joan’s.  It was a success but a big effort for her – and she has certainly ‘done her work’ over the years.  So, thanks Joan, it’s at mine next year and you’re off the payroll!  (Not that we were ever paid.)  –  But you will come, drink coffee and eat cake, won’t you!
