A History of Queen Elizabeth's Lifelong Corgi Appreciation | Vogue

In this moment…

The sun still filters

Through the growing green,

Two years on

From when the birds

Sounded louder -

Engines, hushed

By Pandemic’s power,

Now back to full force -

And yet…

Blackbirds still sing -

Hop away, too lazy

To take to wing,

Though a blustery breeze,

Warm on my face,

Stirs the long grass

And wild flowers

In a no-mow May.

So I feel…

God’s in His heaven,

His peace in this place

And I rest in His stillness,

In His Presence,

In this moment…

May the Queen know

The very same peace

In her Jubilee week.
