MAGHULL Town Council Mayor Cllr John Sayers launched the Council’s Mayoral Achievement Award by making a presentation to Chris Walker in recognition of her dedicated service at Maghull Foodbank.

Cllr Sayers said: “The council is keen to recognise the efforts of people whose efforts benefit residents of Maghull.

“I hope this award goes a small way in acknowledging individuals without who the Town would be so much the poorer without.”

Chris was quick to emphasise that the Foodbank is very much a team effort from the volunteers involved and that this work carries on as demand for their services continues with people facing a sharp rise in the cost of living.
